My husband Doug found old wood fencing on the side of the road and asked the owner if he minded we take some, He answered to please take it all. As soon as Doug came home with the truck full of old wonderfully distressed wood that had been chewed on by horses and who knows what, my passion was born.
Together we designed and he built my wonderful work shed. With so much character and life in this re-claimed lumber, my imagination went wild.
I began to make home decor out distressed wood and other discarded items.
I’ve been at it for 2 years making anything from Barn Doors to Trays, even up-cycled Wood Backings for Doug’s photography.
I have done Christmas Boutiques with my own creations for over 25 years but after this year I realized it was taking too much out of me, so what was next?
I prayed, spoke to friends, and mostly to my best friend Doug, and soon realized I didn’t want to give it up, but instead re-invent myself and this blog was born.
I hope to not only share what I know in Home Decor with a Farm Chic Industrial Blend, but also teach you to work outside and in your home with many DIY projects along the way.
I will share my last Boutique Video for 2016, heavy sigh, along with my personal Christmas Home Tour.
Then we’ll get busy together.
