In the Beginning was the Shed
It’s New Years Day 2017 and I thought I’d start the New Years with how this whole thing started working with Farmhouse Industrial Home Decor.
If you looked at my blog there is a menu item that says, It All Started With a Shed.
It really did! As I posted how it began I thought it would be fun to show how it actually came to be.
The day Doug brought home all the wood we thought OK, so now what. Doug was a Mason contractor before becoming a Firefighter so he had some knowledge of building, but this wood was gnarly!! Nothing was straight so we had to work with warped wood and a lot of imperfection. But actually, that’s what I really liked about the wood in the first place.
So I’m going to post the process of building the Shed..with no plan..we figured it out as we went and it became Magic!

Mr Clydesdale!
The shed became Mr Clydesdale when our 3 1/2 year old granddaughter Hannah, first saw the shed. It became her store and playhouse, really it’s Madi, Shane and Luke’s as well. They love the shed, Mr Clydesdale. I have to make sure all My Stuff is still there in my work area when they leave!! But what they do is magic as I see there little minds working. I wish I had a shed like this when I was a kid.
I hope you enjoyed the process. It was a long 6 weeks, working in over 105 degree heat in the summer in Canyon Lake. We could only work until 11:00 and we were done.
Mr Clydesdale is really one of the favorite parts of my home, because we created it.
I’m so glad we could share this process with you all and would love to hear from you on projects you have done and promote you on my blog!
Please post your comments below and share!!
Happy New Years!!
